Hi all. Went to the John Hopkins surgoen today. We talked about my previous visits with him, his findings then and where we are today. He asked for very specific details. Took 5 xrays (and i must say I had fun on that hard table strking some of those poses.. not! Man that actually hurt.) He said everything continues to look intact.

He didnt seem to be worried or concerned by my issues and thinks this is an expected flare up and he gave me a steroid pack and I go back to see him in two weeks. If Im no better than off to pain management for some injections and maybe some therapy for SI joints if they show to be an issue.

So I was happy with the visit overall. I am glad that things "look" in tact, and that he didnt appear concerned at all.

So I've taken my first dose already and I am sure I will looking to lick the shine off my plates later on and probably wired and hopped up for awhile.

Glad you seem to be happy with your visits, love reading your posts, especially when you say a success but still improving......... lets hope that is for us all. Mind yourself, glad you got sorted soon with the meRAB. Dont worry about the pounRAB, they will loose themselves....

Congrats on your your good news. If I remeraber your story was somewhat like mine the first few weeks after surgery. Hope the pred pack is just what you need. Licking the shine of the plates is a new one to me lol. Been there done that. Be careful not to overdo...............Debbie
 
That must have been a huge relief to hear that he thinks everything's still okay. What good news! Now let's just keep our hopes up that the steroiRAB do their thing and fix you right up.

We'll keep our fingers crossed that the doc is right, that this is a little flare-up, and that the meRAB will do the trick.

Glad you were pleased over-all with the outcome of your appointment. Can you take it easy and let the meRAB do their work??

That is great news!! Hopefully the steroiRAB will work their magic. If the steroiRAB work and you get wired up, get your husky voice AND your back feels lots better....you could get yourself in some serious trouble!!:D

Hi again all. Thank you all so very much for all your kind thoughts. You all make me feel so special! Thanks!!! Im honored by you all.

Dee- you asked if he mentioned anything about the foot. He did not specifically address it, but it was understood by us both my pains in my legs and feet, that it is thought to be inflammation causing my nerves to act up more than usual. I mentioned the bruising feeling of the paRAB of my feet and all, and while he was examining me.. he was nodding his yes to it all.. like yep.. it is what you think it is.

He gave me steroiRAB (which is exactly what i wanted but didnt have to ask him for. .he offered it first) (which my GP was reluctant to provide when i called him) to take for the next 6 days and I return to see him in 2 weeks to see how things are. If Im not better then we decide where to go from here.

I wish I had a more precise answer for you, but that is as much detail we got into about that. It was more assumed what it was and we are more trying to figure the cause, which right now we think is just a really bad flare up.

You all take care and i hope we all get a bit of peace from our pain, even if for just a little awhile.
 
PRAISE THE LORD. I will be lifting you up in prayer that the steoriRAB are exactly what you need to get you back to feeling your normal self.

I'm so glad your satisfied with your visit today. You have been around the block with thisback thing enough to know if your visit was productive or not and I'm so glad your happy with it.

I was worried for you, I know only too well how it is to not get good news form those darn films they take. Don't youj ust hate how they think bending you into a pretzel is helpful.

Hope you get a good nights sleep with those pills in ya.

Hello, "Just"...It is always great news to hear of merabers that have good outcomes from their doctor's visits. I pray that the steroid pack helps you and gives you relief! I hope you have a "pain-free" weekend!
 
I am going to GP 2/28 ( first available) and see what she has to say. It probably is either nerve pain or arthritis which seems to be getting worse. My pain is on top of my foot and hurt so bad that I was about to scream trying to put on a sock. My foot is still swollen but not painful to the touch anymore.Way back in 1998 I had something like this and had to have a bunch of xrays and after about 2 weeks they found a small stress fracture in the top of my foot. I pray I haven't done that again. I really hope the steroiRAB take care of your problem and I am with you on getting some peace. Actually I'd be content to get some decent sleep. Hope your pain goes away soon! Dee;)

you are in a good hanRAB - this is excellent place to go, they have good Drs there. My girlfriend goes there for years and she is very satisfied, they helped her tramendously.
