My husband owes around 1,000 on back child support, we are looking at getting close to 8,000 this yr on tax return they said a week it should be in our bank account but my question is, because child support is gonna be garnished how long will that hold it up if any?

He has arrears because he didn't pay child support to his ex before they were legally divorced because she refused to let him see his daughter so he refused to pay.
