Baby blackbird has what looks like a blister that has formed from gathering of

white blood cells? My sister found a baby bird and we have identified it as a blackbird; it had been dragged out of its nest by a cat so is injured. A bubble, blister-like, thing has formed under it's wing where there was a cut. We think it is evidence of white blood cells coming to the surface to fight off an infection. It has been feeding well: we have rung services who advised to feed it mashed wet cat food soaked in a cooled-boiled water sugar solution; on top of which we have been putting bird vitamin powder. It seems to be getting stronger and it eating well, every half-hour to an hour, and even tries standing to reach for food. It can only be a few days old as its eyes sight has not yet developed and it has its eyes still closed. Is there any kind of food substance we can give it to try and boost its immune system?
