how do i know what my baby has is acne and not something else like a rash or hives

Hi! My daughter gets hives because she is allergic to eggs and nuts...hives are kinda lumpy-looking, like welts or something (not-sure how else to describe them)and get pretty big usually. Also you're baby (I'm note sure how old she is) would either be scratching herself to death, and if she is too young to do that, she would probably be crying nonstop because hives itch terribly! You could probably do a search for pics of hives.
