Hi All,
In Noveraber last year my little girl who is only 20 months old, caught a really bad cold & cough, and since then the cough has never gone away.
After numerous trips to the GP's they deceid that they should she should try Ventolin with the spacer.
Well as you can imagine trying to put a spacer over a 20month baby is just a nightmare, so we are having to do this when she sleeps.
I know its only been a week but their is no improvment at all, infact she has caught another cold, and now the cough is even worse.
Been back to GP today, and got nowhere, was told need to be patient
The one question I do have is to do with the spacer.
Sometimes, no matter how hard I press it on her face the valve just stays open (instead of opening & closeing & making the clicking sound)
Its as though she is not breathing hard enough into spacer
Also is it really normal for a child to be coughing that much that they vomit? She has gone from sleeping 12 hours a night down to 7-8hours sleep per night, as the coughing is at its worse through the night.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
