Where do you get your book recommendations?

Is it from:
* Y!A
* Friends, or one particular friend
* Family
* Bookstores, or bookstores' websites
* Librarians
* Your partner
* Etc, etc, etc

Or are you spontaneous, and just go buy a book on impulse?

BQ: Have you ever sent a manuscript to a publisher?
