Hey, just thought we should compile a list of AWS phones available and coming soon.

So far I have found the following are currently available (not neccesarily on cricket):

UTStarcom 7126
Kyocera S4000 (Mako)
Samsung r210 (Spex)
Samsung r430 (My Shot)
ZTE C79


Soon to come:
Nokia 3606
Nokia 1606
Motorola RZR V3 (not RAZR)
ZTE C78

PS. Got the usb broadband modem (utstarcom) yesterday is prettty sweet, pretty fast :D, $35 a month
 
fyi: the nokia 3606 has been removed from crickets future (at least for now). the s4000 is on hold, there are major problems with it. the RZR was changed back to RAZR for the v3s.

there is also the MOTO VE240 (replacement for SLVR) the samsung sch-r550 (JetSet i think?) if you scrub the fcc fridays on engadget i'm sure you can find more filings for tri-band cdma devices.
 
I know I hate that LOL!!! nice name love the show myself have every eppisode got any clue about this phone??? seems that there aint much written on it ye...t
 
I did run that through a spellcheck and I did spell the word correctley, but cricket and metro's site does show that it is Messager.

The error is on the part of samsung, probably a bad Chinese to English translation job. Weird. A few people also did misspell it, including cnet, phonenews, mydigitallife, and mobiletechnews just to include a few.

I guess to not sound like a *** in the future, I will just say R450 :).
 
No it's not a case of spelling, or translation... It's just the phone is called MESSAGER as in "device to send messages" as opposed to
MESSENGER as in " person who delivers a message"


So, Yes you spelled "messenger" correctly... But the phone is a Messager :p

(but you spelled "correctely" incorrectly by the way ;) )
 
rasberry lol man i get ppl all the time asking me if we have blueberrys lol or berryjacks LOL anyhow that would be something to see. and they need more EVDO based Tri Band Phones, only thing that i know of that is EVDO is the Air Card. and yeah it seems that every phone that dose come out that is Tri-Band (AWS) is alwasy 1x. whats up with that.
 
I so hope, it will keep my woman sold on cricket, she is ready to jump ship to another carrier with a pda phone, the messager just isn't enough for her, price really isn't a huge issue, just under 500 per phone and we are happy.
 
For $500 you could buy TWO Sprint Moguls that are easy as pie to flash to Cricket. See stickies at the top of this forum.....

I am in a AWS market I am ****ed like that. I get to choose between cheap ****, and the messager which just isn't as popular with women has lets say a BB curve or something that there frienRAB have.
 
Come christmas if cricket doesn't have a pda aws phone out, we are going way of tmobile flexpay, it's like a extra 40 a month but it is worth it to make my woman happy, if you know what I mean.

I personally like cricket, but the aws phone selection currentley is ****. Give us a treo, bb, or htc, something that is known, with a full size keyboard, the messager is kinda gay, text messaging is ok with the keyboard, but the wap sucks, it is only 1x, takes forever to send a pic, but the call quality is good. But when she is comparing her phone to her sisters, she is vein, but she wants what she wants.
