part one:
"I am having difficulty uploading avchd lite videos from my Panasonic DMC-ZS3 camcorder onto my new macbook pro, when i import my avchd lite files to iMovie for editing, it says"error" I am using a 16gb ultra II sdhc card as well.any help?."
part two:
AVCHD Lite identifies a subset of AVCHD format, in which HD-recording is limited to 720p/30. The 720p/30 video is recorded in the AVCHD 720p/60 format by storing every other frame, using a bitstream flag to tell the playback device to play each frame twice.
Tips: Panasonic DMC-ZS3/DMC-FT1/DMC-TZ7, Lumix GF1 Micro Four Thirds, Lumix DMC-FZ35/38, Lumix DMC-TZ10/ZS7, and Panasonic LX5 were the great digital cameras to offer AVCHD-lite movie mode.
Panasonic AVCHD Lite files can not be widely accepted by various multimedia device on Mac. We always need to convert AVCHD Lite files to Mac support formats: mp4, mov, etc using AVCHD Lite converter for Mac.
for windows user just use avchd lite video converter
part three:
AVCHD Lite: AVCHD Lite identifies a subset of AVCHD format, in which HD-recording is limited to 720p/30.
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) is an informal name for a class of video formats where each video frame/ interlaced field of a digital videosequence is separately compressed as a JPEG image, 720p/60.
Tips:1: AVCHD Lite can record beautiful movies of a few noises:
AVCHD Lite adopts the compression algorithm which is optimized for recording movies, while Motion JPEG does one originally designed for recording still images.
2:AVCHD Lite results in a smaller file size so you can recored for longer. Recording time of AVCHD Lite per SD memory card is about twice as long as that of Motion JPEG.
part four:
AVCHD converter for Mac is especially designed for Sony, Panasonic, Canon, JVC etc AVCHD camcorder user who desire to import AVCHD to various video device for playing, editing and making home DVDs on Mac os.
