What I'm thinking is even a lazy lob on might elicit a 'wow' reaction (or at least the raising of one eyebrow) if someone looked at his trousers - rather than no reaction if he didn't. Whereas the reaction to a woman's trousers would be the same if she was sexually aroused or not.

Indeed, the pre-pubescing boys just love their half/full nekkid chick avatars, with their username so prominently slapped across the top or bottom. It's as if they're marking their territory on the picture of said porn star, model, sister, mom, etc., etc. :P
