transmission with overdriv? Automotive Question. I have a Ford F150 Pick up truck with a 5.0 motor an automatic transmission with overdriv?
When I take off it acts like it doesn't want to shift into a higher gear r.p.m.'s race up and motor vibrates until I let up on the throttle and it acts like it wants to shift between gears almost like the transmission is slipping. but it works ok if I leave it in low or 2nd gear. and when I put it in reverse it acts like it doesn't want to move. sort of sluggish. I know it's not the U-Joints. It has something to do with shifting. please help and thanks!!!
We were able to pull a code up on it but don't have the manual. the code was 452
 
check your transmission fluid sounds like it may be low if it is not low then you need to change your fluid and filter in your transmission. when you do look for metal shavings you will have some minimal so dont fret but if it looks like way too much then you have stripped some gears and its time to replace. costly but you do need it.
