I have two car payments both have really high interest rates but at the time we had no other choice but to take it because we needed cars and had a 2nd baby on the way. Now its been 2yrs since the first loan was taken out and more than a 1 yr on the second one. We are saving to buy a house but our car payments are taking a big chunk out of our income. So what I am wondering is 1st is it possible or a good idea to refinance the two loans at the same time, or should I just try to refinance the most expensive one? Also I dont want to hurt my credit, its my understanding that as long as i apply for refinancing at different places in the same day it will count as one inquiry? Or how does that work?
