Authors - what should I do?

So i've written two novels, and I am seeking publication. First of all, I have sent over 15 quieres to the first book, while working on another project.

- Now that I have finished the other manuscript, I was wondering if I should also send quieries out for the second book, while still seeking representation for the first.

Should I wait...?

I am puzzled at what to do. HM.

Authors who know the market, agents, etc, can you help me with this question?

Don't wait. It can take agents and editors 6 or more months to reply to you and if you wait around for them, you'll be dead before you publish.

What you shouldn't do, though, is to send a query for your second novel to someone who has not yet replied to your first query. It's fine to send them out to other people, but you should only send one query at a time to the same agent/publisher.

Why wait? When in doubt send it out as soon as you can. If the publishers really like the 2nd one then maybe your first one will have a little more consideration as well...
