book. not writing the story? like... i wrote a book about 4 years ago.
and i'm re writing it, expanding the words sooo much (since I was only 13 at the time my vocabulary was much smaller, and my knowledge towards that yada yada you get the point.)
but I keep sitting there thinking hard how to word things, and the correct way to make it all go together. i'm spending so much time typing out one page because I want it to be perfect.
though i could be spending that time writing out so much more.
ah any way.
just tell me what ever tips you think i should have.
also like...
a schedule. how much to get done a day.
stuff like that?
and if you wish...
tell me what you make sure you do when you write the book.
tell me your schedule if you will etc.
thank you. don't be afraid to expand your answer by chatting about yourself :) i want to hear.
yo last person lol. why would i worry about vocabulary? and it's not about sounding more intelligent... i stick to words i know... nothing more then that.
it's the fact I don't always know how to word things correctly to how it sounds right...
the girl above you knew what sh was talking about
obviously you have never written anything because you didn't understand my question.
jerk.

it's normal to spend ages wording things. i'm obsessed by it when i write. sometimes i will think about one sentence for days, i will write it 10 different ways and still wont be happy with it. like i have a feeling it could be better and it's right on the tip of my tongue but i just can't get it. but once i get it right it feels perfect! it's not very productive but it can be very satisfying!

if you don't like this way of doing things you could just re write it so it's not perfect, then go back again later and fix it. so you'll have to go through twice and fix it but it'll probably work out faster and make you feel like you're getting more done.

i don't work on a schedule, i just do it as i feel like it. i do most of my writing late at night when i should be sleeping. when i'm lying there trying to go to sleep is when i have my very best ideas! it's probably because i'm relaxed and comfortable and i'm not stressed so my ideas just come together. then i have to flick the light on, write down everything in my head and go to sleep, usually when i read it in the morning it's just as good as i thought it was which is exciting and that's how i start a story, i just go from there.

really though there's no right or wrong way to write a book, you just need to work out a pattern that suits you. this idea of re writing a book you wrote as a kid sounds really cool and exciting. i'd love to read it when you're done!
