AUTHORS: how many times did you have to send your book to the publisher before...

...they published it? Thank you. How much of a risk, would you say, was it to the publishers? How many times did you have to edit it? Thanks very much. : )
 
my first book i sent to 18 publishers before i got a yes.

then i had to do a minor re-write to meet their demands.

it wasn't a massive risk to the publishers, it was in a genre that was selling well at the time and my advance was pretty small, so there was nothing to loose really.
