Hi, I'm currently writing a book and im a bit stuck on something.

it's about a student teacher romance, and my main character has moved to a new town and im just deciding if her and the teacher should first meet outside of the school?
like she gets there and goes shopping a day before she starts her knew school...i was thinking maybe she gets directions from him to the shops before she knows he's a teacher.
thanks!
if you think yes, or no, please say why. so what advantages would there be through that and stuff? thank you

btw, the book is going to be quite serious...its not just a lust thing, they actually fall very much in love with each other. and they would only be meeting before hand in a cafe or something...so not for very long...thanks
if they did get to meet before school started they wouldnt have time to date or anything it would be on a sunday, only a day before school so not much would be happening, just the initial attraction

This is a current storyline on the soap One Life To Live. I don't usually watch it, but I was bedridden for a few days and watched it out of boredom. At least they had the good sense to have the male teacher get fired for inappropriate behavior. The same thing would happen to a college professor and a student if found out. I don't know the moral and legal issues for a student and a teaching assistant.

Quite honestly, this storyline sounds like a cross between the pilot episode of Grey's Anatomy and an after-school special about Mary Kay LeTourneau and Vili Fulau... it sounds rather creepy the way others are treating the subject so nonchalantly...
