I'm trying to remember the name of a female British/Irish author.
She wrote a series about her life in a small Highland community in Scotland.
She also wrote a story about her childhood where her father bought and ran a grocery shop in the North of England (they make a trip across the Mersey to get supplies). His nickname for her is Chipcart.
