Right away, return the phone and ask for your money back... Don't even bother looking for an answer...
That phone is known to have soooooo many problems it is not worth owning...
I have had 5 Audiovox 8910s from Bell Mobility because they all had problems. I had sent in the the phone for warranty repair for more time than I had used the phone. After 6 months of this occuring, I finally contacted Audiovox / UTStarcom, and had to argue with them to give me a different phone. (Even though I asked for my money back!)
In the end, they gave me an 8600, which is also known to have tons of problems.
If you are going prepaid, I would not suggest Virgin Mobile, they are so expensive compared to other prepaid networks.
If you're in Canada, a good prepaid network is Fido, it is very affordable.
If you're in USA, I believe people were saying that T Mobile has a good prepaid network.
These are all my opinions, but it is true that the 8910 is known to have so many problems, which is probably why Virgin Mobile is continuing to sell it, because they can get it for cheap.
Hope I could be of Help.
