I get all of my faceplates from Aaccessories on Ebay.

Very reliable, cheap prices, and great shipping time.
My battery is a different story. I got that from ebay too, but a different seller. I got it from Daydeal.com, on EBAY. Not the actual site, because last time I checked, it was more expensive on the site as opposed to their auctions. Daydeal's pretty reputable too.
Here's the link to Daydeal's flashing battery auctions for the 8900:

Got it for $15.99 in the auction. Not many people bid, so it's not hard to get. As for when does the battery light up, it's pretty random. If you keep charging the phone with that battery on a regular basis, like every night (which is what I do), then the battery pretty much flashes on schedule, when the phone rings, when you're recieving messages, when the phone's in use (during calls), etc. From time to time, it gets pretty random. Sometimes it just starts flashing for no reason, without a call or incoming message, etc.
It's worth it though. My battery (the white LED battery) is crazy. It's so bright, almost strobe-esqe. If you're in a dark lit place, and the battery starts flashing, it'll look like a mini rave.
