I use an optical audio connection for my wireless surround sound headphones with my desktop PC and my Xbox. I'd like to use it with my laptop too, but it doesn't have an optical audio output. I could maybe use an audio cable (like the ones for Mp3 players) and use an adapter to change it to RCA, but I wouldn't get surround sound with that, would I?
While I'm asking, there is also a static hissing sound when I listen to them. It doesn't seem to diminish when I move closer to the transmitter. Is that just what I get for using wireless?
