AUDIO CLIPPING ON VOCALS HELP!!! LOGIC STUDIO?

Im using Logic Express and im using a Condenser Studio Microphone and everything i record i get high ammounts of clipping that it hurts ur ears 2 the max so what can i do to avoid clipping in the first place (while recording)???

I got told use a Limiter and Condenser while u record but i dont know what setting to use on it or how to use it??
