Audi or Lexus?

My mom has been in the market for a car for a while now. In March, we ordered an Audi A5. It is expected to come in around Late August, Early September. Gas just topped over $4.13 in MD, now we are considering a Hybrid. No Hybrids are really fit to compete with the A5 other than one; the Lexus GS450h. It cost a little more money, but it is bigger, faster, more reliable. I found this one we are considering. Would you rather choose a new Audi A5 in Navy Blue w/ Cinnamon Leather, or a 2007 Lexus GS450h in Black w/ Black leather.

Theyre both real bad cars. I think repairs on the hybrid are going to be more expensive in the long run.

The hardest thing is trying to guess at which is going to be more reliable. The hybrid hasn't had enough road time to really get a good opinion of reliability.

Audi's tend to need transmissions quicker than they should, but compared to replacing the eletrical bits in the hybrid, it may be more cost effective.

At the end of the day, if I had to choose, i'd probably go with the Lexus.
 
Lexus is a quality brand...but why did'nt you go with the Toyota Avalon...same platform..I don't know if it has a hybrid, though but it is probably 10 to 20 grand cheaper...I think you should get the Audi...those cars are so underrated..my friend had a A4 back in 98...It was a sleeping giant....
