Man, this seems so harsh ... "demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status". What a totally fucking draconian law. I think I'm going to boycott the state that has this law in protest.

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully
cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is
suspected of being present in the United States in violation of
federal immigration laws.

(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected
of being present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the
following:

(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen
of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent
resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time
or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of
immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not
be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and
place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding
documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien
who is present in the United States in violation of federal
immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal
justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or
leave the United States.

(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United
States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal
status and provide any additional information that may be requested
by any other public entity.

(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city,
county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with
jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent
or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly
prohibited.

Oh, BTW, this isn't Arizona's law, this is CALIFORNIA'S EXISTING LAW!

California penal code 834b

Should have changed CA to AZ, and given the libtards a page or so to bitch about it before revealing the truth.

Na, why bait the dumb fucks. The truth will hurt their ignorant asses just as well. There is no way they can defend California's EXISTING LAW and go about attacking AZ's new law without looking like the brain dead, partisan, hypocrites they really are.

But then again, since most of these ignorant fucks, including the AG and head of the DHS of the United States haven't actually read the AZ law, and these sacriding choads who just regurgitate their talking points that are handed to them, they most likely would have never known.

If that's the case, why aren't there cops with buses swinging by my local Home Depot every morning?

Most likely because the Liberal pussy legislators of the State of California have told the political police officers (ie the various chiefs of police) not to enforce this law. Then the Chiefs of police in the state have gone to the Commanders and relayed that information and told them not to enforce that section. Then they in turn go to the rank and file and made it clear that they are not to enforce it.

Bullshit rolls downhill in police forces, and at the top of the pile of bullshit in CA, are Liberal politicians.

Besides, with Arnold Schwarzenegger's Austrian accent, it would not do him well to go around quoting 834b(b)(1) going "I vant to see your papiere bitte."

Saturday Night Live's, Seth Meyers, calls CALIFORNIA a bunch of Nazi Fascists.

"if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws"

In CA, you have to be suspected of being an illegal alien. In AZ, you just have to be brown. Duh

I can help the police point them out. Look for the following:

Flannel shirt

Raiders cap

Bag of oranges

Nike Cortez

A friend actually dressed up like this on Halloween.

I know... I know.. It's Fox news, but Megyn Kelly on the O'Rielly Factor did research on case laws dealing with the federal law on illegal immigration and thru the research, she cites these case laws to explain how the AZ law is much more stricter than the federal law..

She starts at 3 min into the video

The difference between CA law and the AZ law is that the AZ law mandates police question suspects even when no crime has occured. Although I seem to remember that being written off afterwards because of all the controversy right now.

You are 100% wrong. The AZ law does NOT mandate police to do that when no crime has occurred.

Every freaking Home Depot. I was at my local HD and overheard an Asian hiring an illegal. The illegal was charging $8/hr. with a minimum of 8 hours work. What a POS.

Don't ask me, as the retards who are railing against the AZ law and supporting California's "Boycott of Arizona for their Draconian law".
