ATT insurance, phone downgrade?

i lost my Samsung Blackjack 2, and so i decided to cash in on my insurance, they sent me a crap phone a huge downgrade from my blackjack, a Samsung SGH- a777. they don't sell the model anymore but shouldn't i get at least an upgrade, cause this phone isn't going to cut it. If i call they would they be willing to send me another phone
