Last year my outlook for Western civilization wasn't very good. This year my outlook has changed significantly. I think there will be tremendous scientific progress, especially in America. It seems everybody is pessimistic these days (especially atheists). I, while being an Atheist, am very optimistic about this coming year. And for the decade, I think it looks even better. I predict, right now, we're basically going to be reliving the economic growth of the '80s multiplied by a factor 10 in this coming decade. I mean, we are practically blindly walking into a technological singularity. My new prediction is that the singularity will occur between 2020-2025, and the changes that will lead up to it will absolutely blow everyone's mind. I will also predict, right now, that the American economy will be BOOMING by the end of this year. I mean gangbusters booming.
