If I was to say I believe in an impersonal Absolute Consciousness-Existence which permeates all and is the substance and essence of all that IS....BUT...and this is a big BUT...this Absolute is impersonal, does not "think" or do anything except exist yet is the foundation of all that IS....is that a deity? What criteria must be met for something (or nothing) to be a deity? I do not believe in a bearded old man on a cloud who directs everything but I can accept the ideas I presented. Comments please.
