I'm intrigued by the nature of this survey? Do you really think you'll find a commonality among people's beliefs based on what job they do?! Sure, it's easy to assume someone that collects funds for the local church is religious and the lawyer probably isn't, but in my profession - media, since you ask - I know people who do exactly the same job and yet have wildly differing faiths or, in my case, a deep suspicion of all organised religions. I fail to see your point

Self employed with a background in biology. When I'm not working in the field I have to answer emails. Not a lot of emails to answer today, so.....

Before I became disabled, I was a child daycare worker. Now, I'm a full-time mother and homemaker.

Can theists share too?I'm a call center operator in city gov't. I come here between calls, I stay if it's really slow.

I´m Finnish and basic schooling here is 9 years before you become a student to your job. I have only those 9 years of "basic school" behind me - I have severe mental illness and can´t work. I have sickness pension - I don´t know how American says it.

As an atheist I spend my time stealing and killing people because I have no way of deciding what is morally right without God. I don't know if that is a profession but the pay is good

I'm a bus driver.Obviously I'm not at work when I'm on here :)I come here because even though I don't believe...Some religions are interesting.I like to learn about them and life in general.

I am a receptionist in an emergency dept. at a hospital so I have to sit at the desk until people come in & then I take their info. & call them when it is time to go back. It gets busy sometimes. If the roads are wet we have people coming in from accidents. If they give out flu shots they will be deluged with people who have reactions to it. So often there seems to be a theme of who comes in. Sports injuries, etc. It is such a business. Religious people often are praying & not learning about how to really keep themselves free from injuries & disease. The don't know they create their life. I wish I could just tell them how to heal themselves but I like my job. Oh, so much of what I see is stress related. Heart attacks. Overeating is a huge cause of what brings people into the hospital. I live in a conservative area & the amount of overweight people is shocking. I didn't really notice it until a friend who works as a nurse mentioned that to her husband & told my husband when I got the job there. He said that his wife said the people end up in the hospital cause they are overweight. So here comes an elderly couple in right now gotta go see if they need a wheel chair.

I work at home carving fossils for fossil planting season. This year I'm doing late period pieces. That way on fossil planting night we don't have to dig down through so many layers to plant them. It leaves more time for refreshments. cheers. In real life I work one day a week at a dumb labour job, it's line work and is a quail processing plant. In one two hour shift I kill around 2500 quail. Not many can claim that. Yes, the quail of the bible, my bad?

It seems like most of these people have jobs that require a heightened level of intelligence, reasoning, and analysis.I guess to be an atheist you must posses the tools to be able to analyze the religious dogma, be educated about the history of religion, and then make a final verdict based on reason that no evidence supports the existence of a god, let alone the arrogant and outdated Christian god.
