As an athiest I think if God did exist he would have better things to do than to tell kittens to jump into water for your amuesment

genuine, directly answered prayer? I'm just wondering what you think about this little answered prayer I experienced lately, since I often see people on R&S asking for examples of directly answered prayer:

Okay, so my house was freezing cold the other night so I filled the bathtub up with really hot water and stuck my legs in and read my book (Persepolis... so good). I could hear my kitten (6 months) throwing himself against the door the whole time. After I decided to get out, I opened the door and put the kitten up on the ledge of the bathtub. He was walking around, looking down at the water and being so cute.

I really wanted to push him in (:-D) but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because I didn't want to break his trust. So I prayed to God to pleeeease make him either fall into the water or jump in...

and the kitten jumped right into the water!!! I was extremely delighted and counted it as a very directly answered prayer.
