I do appreciate intelligent debates with Atheist, Agnostics, Deist and/or any of the religions.

What I do want to know is what made you pick Atheism over being Agnostic or Deist? Not a rant, a serious question.

I have been Agnostic before, but never Atheist,

my point of view on it is this, if I follow the bible, but am wrong in the end, I just cease to exist. I am not embarrassed or feel like I wasted time because, 1. I am dead and 2. Religion brought me hope, love, relief and many great friends.

Now if I were Atheist and wound up being wrong, well I would be in some trouble, maybe not hell, because some interpret that your soul is just devoured if you went astray, not sent to some living hell.

So in all mature discussion, why do you personally choose Atheism and to what degree to you hold that belief, I.E. you just believe it, you believe it and logically discuss it, or you just flame, insult and attack any one who has a religion
No when I was younger I believe out of fear, then I turned agnostic,

then when i grew up I had a spiritual awakening,

I believe because I love God, I love what he is supposed to stand for, not the parts people have gotten wrong
there are 6 + types of Agnostic,

I know very well in fact what the words mean, thank you though
