My Men's mountain bike is probably 15 years old, and hasn't ever received much TLC. A brand new mountain bike of similar quality would cost me around $350. It's been stored outside most of that time, but out of the rain.
I'm not very mechanically inclined. I'm happy to take the bike in to the shop and give have them do some maintenance, but at what point dollar wise do I say it's no longer worth doing the maintenance and just buy a new bike?
