At what point does a desire to have sex become an obsession to have sex?

I always thought I had a high sex drive but I've been exclusively dating this guy for six months and he's about to put me in the hospital.
Don't get me wrong, he's an amazing guy and the sex is fantastic but there's only so much a girl can handle. Also when we're not together he is constantly sending me dirty text messages, asking for naked pictures, trying to sext me, etc. He often calls me in the morning/evening when he's taking a shower, puts me on speaker phone and asks me to talk dirty to him so he can get off.
Just earlier today he was trying to sext me while he was in a meeting at work and I'm trying to teach my students about the scientific method.
I high sex drive is fine but I feel like it's hindering his work and my work. I'm a little worried he's obsessed with sex.
 
desire becomes obsession when the person expereinces interference in accomplishing the everyday important things in life. The thing heads toward a single focus which crowds out other stuff that must be done. You wrote that it's hindering both of your work.....that's your indictation that it's gone beyind normal.....an obsession.
