I work out 5-6 days a week because I really enjoy it. If I miss a day, I almost feel lost. My workout is mostly cardio (jogging, lunges, squats, etc) with a little 'strength training' and lasts about an hour each morning.
For the first time in the last 2 years, I was told by someone that I was 'over-exercising'. This was a term I was not familiar with but I was told that people can become obsessed with working out, to the point that they damage their body. This whole time I was thinking exercising was benefiting my body, as it turns out, I could be damaging it if I were to be doing it too much.
Now, I work out at a gym and have a trainer who I meet with bi-weekly and he says I am fine and that an hour every morning during the week is not 'over-exercising'. As long as I eat healthy and know my limits, there is no reason why that is too much.
But I'd like to know what everyone else believes is the point at which someone is 'over-exercising'? Do you know of anyone who does this? And when was the first time you heard about this?
I mean once every 2 weeks. It comes with the gym membership, if I had to pay for him seperately, I wouldn't lol.
Sorry, hopefully I didn't word that wrong :S
