At what elevation must I be in order to see the curvature of the Earth?

If I were standing on top of MT. Everest, 5.5 miles above sea level, could I see the curvature of the Earth? At what elevation must I be to see the curvature of the Earth? I understand if I were in the middle of the ocean I could see that a distant ship is below the curve.... but what about towards the side...?
