I was recently watching BBC's show Top Gear, and in the episode the traveled the famed "Death Road". On their travels, they came to fork where they could take one road, leading over an active volcano, and 17,000+ foot elevation. The host's decided for the route over the volcano, and where forced to turn back due to the effects of altitude.
I have been at 14,000 feet before and know what effect that has on my ability to complete any type of physical demand.
What altitude will the stress of simply breathing or speaking become taxing on the human body?
