papers were spoilt? By the returning officer? A judge has ruled that it is undemocratic not to inform every voter in person how many spoilt ballot papers there were when a union runs a strike ballot.
Do you think a legal challenge against the recent election results would get the same result?
No I thought not.

No Deighton the judge ruled that every member who voted had to be informed of the result personally including how many spoilt ballot papers there were. He was kind in saying they could have done this electronically by text or e mail.
Imagine a returning officer having to e mail or txt every constituent the results of a general election?
