...back!? Hello all! Please offer any advise, thanks!

My phones touch screen stopped working so I filed a claim, paid $50, and they sent me a Pantech Laser instead of my original (didn't have it) Samsung Impression. What should I do if I took my old phone apart and fixed it and now don't want to send it back? I HATE the laser, its a terrible phone! Would Asurion let me send back the laser and keep my old phone?

The insurance company requires that you pay the deductible, they send a "new" phone in 2 days, and the customer sends back the broken phone in 10 days. Well I told them I lost the phone and they issued a 30 day extension to find the phone, then said "we'll try and work it out where you don't get charged if you don't find it". I told them that so I could fix the phone and get all my beloved pictures off of it!

I don't know what to do, but don't want to lose my old phone. Please help if you can, I really appreciate it!
BLKBear - Thanks for the suggestion! I will probably do option one. However, if I go with option two... If I uninsure the phone (don't care too much it is old) and began using it would I not get in trouble with ATT or Asurion?

Just tell them someone found your phone and returned it, and you would like to send the replacement back to them, instead of the one that was ...er..."lost" and that you would like a refund of the $50.

Or Lie again and say you can't find the old phone, and pay the $50 and keep the Laser and sell it. Only problem is, you now can not insure the "lost" phone, since it's is suppose to be gone forever, and the IMEI/ESN will rat you out that it is still being used, if you try to make a future claim to get a repair. So if it were me I would go with my first suggestion so that you old phone stays covered.
