Suppose two cities, due north-south from each other, are separated by 10 degrees of latitude. On a day when the Sun is at the zenith of the southern city, how many degrees is the Sun from the zenith of the northern city at the same instant?
So I thought it was 90 degrees minus 10 degrees to get the answer of 80 degrees, but apparently I am wrong. I thought that because the zenith is 90 degrees. Can someone help me figure this out?
