Astronomy --- Galactic Redshifts and “Hubble’s Law,”?

Hi, I read that galactic redshifts and hubble's law are evidence for creation, but then I read on a different page that it is evidence for evolution. Which is it? Creation or evolution or does it support both of them equally? Would you also please explain to me exactly what is galactic redshifts and hubble's law without to much scientific vocabulary. I know that galactic redshifts has to do with radiation and that hubble's law is the fact that the universe is expanding. THANKS!!! ;)
 
You need to read a bit more. A lot more.

Hubble's law and redshifts are evidence for an expanding universe, which in turn is evidence for the Big Bang theory. Evolution is the theory that explains the diversity of life on Earth, and has absolutely nothing to do with cosmology.

You're confusing the Big Bang, a scientific theory which describes the earliest moments of our universe (its "creation") with Creationism, which is a crackpot myth held by certain religious fundamentalists. It has absolutely no basis in fact whatsoever.
 
It's not evidence for either. Evolution is a biological process, not a galactic one. Galaxies evolve as well, but you're obviously referring to biological evolution. You appear to be confusing 'biological evolution' with 'science as a whole'. The redshifts of distant galaxies are evidence for the big bang theory, not biological evolution. They are NOT the same thing. There is no evidence at all for creation. The basic idea is that the universe is expanding, and the further away you move the faster it's expanding. That's what Hubble's law tells us, and observations confirm.
 
"Creation" and "evolution" are interpretations people have put on the data.

Redshift and Hubble's Law are evidence of the expansion of the universe. Trace that trend back and you project that the universe had a definite beginning time at which it was compressed into a tiny point. The more data we gather about the background radiation, the more this theory seems to be validated.

But that's as far as Big Bang theory and evidence goes. If you want to say that's evidence of an intelligent Creator, that's up to you. But that isn't in the data, one way or another. And evolution is a theory about the origins of life, not the origins of the universe. Big Bang theory is completely irrelevant to that.
