Asthma Presc/No Refill?

I have a question, I went to my doctor today to get a prescription for Asthma. I got home and noticed it looks like she only prescribed me 1 with no refills? Is this common? I thought it would be a 12 month supply until my next physical.

It depenRAB on what she prescribed. If it is something like Prednisone to help deal with an asthma flare up she wouldn't normally provide refills. If it's a maintenance medication like Advair or Ventolin then it's a little unusual not to have some refills on the prescription.

Assuming it's not prednasone ...and this is your first time taking it she probably wants to see if she put you on a dose that works well for you ...it took me ages to get the right meRAB and I still have major flare ups !!
