First of all I just wanna say thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this ....Well i'm 17 had asthma since i was born and have been playing , soccer and ice hockey since i was 6, recently i have been doing alot of research on asthma and trying to educate myself. One thing I have noticed is that alot of the drugs can have long termeffects on your body. Personally when i was younger I never took any prevenitive medication just a couple puffs here and there when I needed, but in the winter time i would have sitituations where I can barely breath and have been token to the hospital put on a mask , given injections or given pills . However the last few summers ive played on the provincial soccer team and we train pretty hard through out the year, So I have myself in pretty good shape through out the summer , However what im looking for is Consistency.....the thing is ive seen a couple doctors, actually saw one last week, and this is the doctor that had me on the pill singular through out last summer and had give me a advair and said take that when ever i needed. The thing is I found that advair is not something you just take every now and then and is something people take consistently to control there asthma.... Tho I found with advair I would get major muscle cramps and constant highs and lows in mood instead of feeling neutral or relaxed.
So in conclusion im wondering what causes my asthma to be worst during hockey season, also it is said that physical activity strengthens the lungs but if you are taking a puffer during physical activity how are u strengthening your lungs, doesnt that mean your body is depending on the drug more than your physical ability, Also the doctor had me on the drug avamys for my sinus and i toke it for 10 days but when i stopped taking it my asthma randomly started acting up and my sinuses just went clogged agn.
