Asthma and marijuana

Does marijuana affect your lungs in a harmful way if you asthma?
I'm 18 and I feel I would like to try marijuana but I also have asthma.
I am currently living in California so I was just wondering what kind of effects it has on your lungs, please ASAP thank you :)
 
Burning leaves and deliberately inhaling the smoke will irritate your lungs, and, over time, cause significant damage. Doesn't matter if they're marijuana, tobacco, or regular oak leaves off a lawn.
