I read that beta 1 blockers don't effects the lungs and then I read of people with asthma taking metoprolol, toprol xl, etc where having more asthma due to beta blockers. I have PAC's (premature atrial contractions) and would like to try beta blockers for it unless they will give me trouble breathing.

these pac's are driving me nuts, making me dizzy, etc.. but i do have asthma so what can i take or do?
i've done the lifestyle changes, checked electrolytes, etc.

I am on Coreg (Carvedilol) a non-selective Beta Blocker.

It does seem to give me a problem with what seems to be exercise-induced Asthma.

OTOH, my first two BP readings this morning were 90/55 @ 2:41am and 90/52 @ 7:12am, so the breathing problems could also be related to Pericardial Effusion due to the low blood pressure. :dizzy:

Blood Pressure at 12:14pm was 127/72. So..... now is the time for increased physical exercise! (except right now I am too lazy :( ) Could someone do my exercise for me? :D

Either way...... it's all good, and I refuse to give up on the Coreg. It's great stuff! :D
