I get frequent sore throat and even blister in mouth by Using advair 2 times a day. Feels like having a virus that goes away when I stop sing.

I had lost my voice for a couple weeks before I could get an appt. with my doctor. "Oh, did I forget to tell you to gargle with warm salt water after using?" Grrrr. I tried the salt water, but Listerine actually works better for me.

You should always at least rinse your mouth after using a steroid inhaler. Some folks brush their teeth. Whatever works for you to stop those reactions is fine.

I stopped using Advair 2x a day when I had problems with my vision. I'm thinking of trying something more in the natural field because the asthma is worse this year because of the damp, cool weather.

I found Advair is most useful using only 1 dose a day. Two doses left my voice sandy and seemed to be to much. Perhaps you are very sensitive to it. I use it only at night before bed. Be sure to rince your mouth out good -after each use. I also use Flonase only in the evening when I have the most difficult time breathing.

I use it only once a day, in the evening before I go to bed. I always rinse well as that is recommended on the box. The reason I stopped taking it twice is that I had a period of double vision (a side effect not listed as far as one of the pharmacists could find out). When I stopped 2 doses, my vision became normal. I use Venolin when I get really tight...which is rare.
Hope that is helpful.
