ok, so there's a motorcycle i want to get, its kinda-local, i want to make payments on it, but its a private sale... how do i give us both assurance of not getting ripped off?
i was thinking i could let him keep the bike until i paid it off, but thats not super safe for me...
should i take the bike, then give him a copy of my ID? DL? home address???? my dad did it before, my dad kept the car the whole time, but he doesn't remember what he did to assure the seller.
any ideas!?!?
when my dad did it, all was well and everyone was happy... and in this circumstance he's much closer geographically... could you explain how that would be possible???
