Assess my situation with girls, and tell me if you agree with my solution.?

Basically, I'm in the awkward middle when it comes to girls. I'm not completely ugly but I'm not completely hot either. I'm average, with the potential to look very ugly but also with the potential to look quite decent and somewhat hot. I do have a really good personality - I'm friendly, nice, but also cool and mysterious at times. However, there are guys who are substantially hotter than me with just as good of personalities as me - they will be the ones who the girls will naturally go for.

Because of this, I often find myself in quite difficult situations with girls. Girls tend to see me as the back up/fun to flirt with guy, who they can attempt to lead on and play games with, but I'm never their first choice. It's like as if they are unsure of me so they think 'nahhh I don't know if I feel strongly enough about him, sure I'll go for him maybe if nothing else comes about'. This often leads to heartbreak and frustration, never knowing where I stand, and always being unsure of whether to get my hopes up and to just 'go for it'. I have often been left completely frustrated and let down by girls, seems to happen the whole time. - I'm even talking about girls who aren't shallow. I just never know when to go for girls or to get my expectations up. So, I have decided this is my solution, and to take this approach from now on....

To let girls be the ones that make all the effort when it comes to texting, facebook chat, and general charming. I have made it clear to them that I liked them before - without being too needy or available- and yet this has just resulted in me being led on and taking advantage of. So from now on, I will let them be the ones that do all the texting, writing to me on facebook, BUT, when they do make the effort in texting or online chat, I will be as charming, friendly and mature back to them as I can possibly be. I'm not going to be the one that makes the effort, but when they do make the effort, I'll make the effort back, and be the maturest, charming and nicest that I can be.

As far as I can see, this is the best ever solution and approach which I can think of. Do you think it is a good one? Or is there anything which I should add to it?

Just remember this for the rest of your life:

Women bend reality to meet their expectations, and not expectations to meet the reality.

The next time you get into a p*ssing-contest with a woman, think back on how she may have come into the situation.

The key to a woman, is ego.

A woman is a master of predestiny. She is so good, that she doesn't notice herself doing it.
She will go into a situation with an expectation, and two-three things will happen:
1) Her expectation will reflect reality (never, because of number two)
2) Reality did not go *exactly* as her expectation(s) were planned
3) (Reserved for reality)

Two things will happen when her expections are not met:
1) She will b*tch, cry, nag, complain, and use every coercment available until she gets her way
2) She will divert the conversation and thereby sabotaging the goal--usually by picking some unimportant detail that is not quite right, bringing it to the forefront of the mission, and then leap-frogging to another detail until the conversation/mission is so convoluted that the main subject/purpose is no longer in sight.

Once a man (or other woman) learns this, then the "jig is up!"

Stay focused on the point/goal. Inform her that a decision will be made with or without her (women LOVE to have someone else start the program/plan--and take over! (with her expectation(s), of course). That way, she can take the credit for finishing the plan (popular), or blame the one who started it (s**t hits the fan).
Either way, ego. You have always heard the term, "...that's just woman" or "a woman is never wrong."
Woman either accepts the credit, sabotages, or blames. That is what each quote is referring too.
Even women in a woman-run environment (dorms, workplace, volunteer) have admitted they "are miserable."

To answer your question: "Wine 'em, Dine 'em, D'ck 'em, forgit-em!"
