I do this a few times a week. I don't have severe acne, just corabo/oily skin that is prone to breakouts. This is a great cheap, easy mask to make at home. Just get about 5-8 asprin, mash them all up into a powder and add a drop of honey and a teeny tiny amount of water (small drip)...stir this all together to make a paste and apply to skin. I leave it on for 20-30 minutes, usually before I take a shower. This really helps to exfoliate, reduces redness and pore size, and helps with lightening scars. I learned this asprin trick from a make-up artsist, and heard about it again from an aesthetician. If you go to google and type in asprin mask, there are tons of links that come up. Hope this works for those who try it:)

Try mixing it with a clay-based mask. Lately, I've been mixing mine with Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, and it works really well. You also get the benefits of the clay mask and the aspirin.

Or don't complicate it.

You don't have to mash them. They dissolve. And you don't have to mix with anything either. It's true that it dries to a fine powder and falls off, but some people find that beneficial. They brush off all the powder but leave the residue on overnight or even all day. If you want to mix with something, try your cleanser or moisturizer.

I just dissolve a handful and use it as a scrub on my whole upper body every few days in the shower. Simple.

I decided to give this a try after reading this forum. I've been doing the masks for about a week now, and I really like it. What a fantastic exfoliant! I think I can finally cancel my Proactive subscription now.

Couple of questions:

How long does it take before you start seeing real results? My skin feels soft and clean, but I'm still very oily, and am still getting outbreaks.

Can anyone recommend some good moisturizers to put on after? Or is it better not to use anything? I don't have dry skin, but I wonder if it's best to apply something to protect the pores?

Thanks. :)
