ASP Tactical Batons - Legal in NZ?

Hello,
I am from New Zealand, and I have been thinking of buying an ASP tactical baton. Does anyone know if they are legal for civilian use in New Zealand and if so, where I could buy one? Thanks in advance.

The ASP tactical baton is an offensive weapon in the possession of a member of the public in NZ and you would more than likely be prosecuted for possession of such a weapon in any public place. However, possession not in a public place is a different matter - just as with a replica firearm.
