asking parents for a cell phone?

you are old enough to have a phone. i got mine when i was 10. just tell them that you can pay part of the bill and that ou are serious about it. tell them they shoudnt laugh because your being serious.
 
Well....
I really wanted a cell phone for a while.And well,I already have 125 dollars (cost 150) saved up I know what plan to get too.Our well my sister has her phone plan for unlimited calling text and long distance for 30 dollars.I wanted it for my birthday he laughed and said no .And well I still want one.I'm just afraid he's going to laugh so did my mom and said I was to young.Im in eighth grade get really good grades,a/b honor roll,and I'm not bad.But my dad doesn't I'll pay for the bill too pitch in 10 every month which we only get 5 a week.So how do I say I want a phone and convince him and my mom? :(
I want to talk to my friends too,and when I go some where like the movies and not have to bug my friends to use their phones.Please advice sorry for my ranting excuse me. :l
