So this past weekend I met this girl at church camp. I'm a senior & she's a sophomore. I never considered asking anyone below a Junior to a date until I met her. Up at the retreat, we got to know each other pretty well because I was her group leader. There was this activity called, "Prayer at the cross" which from past experience makes a lot of people get emotional for whatever reason. She ended up getting emotional so I walked over to her and put my arm around her because I felt bad that she was crying. When she saw me do this she grabbed me tightly and we stayed like this for a good 20 min. Later that night, there was an opportunity to share how God had made an impact on ones life and she shared a story that brought tears to practically everyone in the room. By the end of the weekend, I felt this connection with her as if we were great friends even though we only met a few days ago.
Yesterday at the retreat follow up at church she came up to me and hugged me. But when she hugged me, she didn't let go and kept talking to me saying that I had made a huge impact on her life and all this stuff for 5 min. I'm assuming she did that because I shared a story with the entire group in which God had saved my life when the doctor's gave me a 25% chance to live. Today after first period she pulled me aside and just gave me a tight hug and said, "You mean a lot to me" loud enough so that my friends could hear and just walked off. She's single and looks pretty good, nice body and smile. Our stories are almost the same. I'm seriously thinking of asking her to prom later on because I want to take someone special not some slut or some girl that will say yes only to leave me for some other guy.
I'm not exactly how to ask her to prom & I am planning for mid march when tickets go on sale. I was thinking of getting flowers and just asking her.
