Ashford University.... letting me start without financial aid or grant?

i am about to start Ashford university i already have my books and have signed up i start on the 13th and recently have read some bad stuff regarding financial aid.If you have any info on Ashford univ. good or bad please let me know i'm really starting to worry and now it is too late to turn back. One thing is they are letting me start school before we even know anything about weather or not i got approved for grants or financial aid have you ever heard of anything like that??? please i would really appreciate some info. thanks
