It has just been announced that there will not be an Ashes teast Match played at Headingley in 2013 or 2015. This is because Yorkshire CCC declines to bid for one on the grounds that to do so would be "too financially risky."
I appreciate that we must live in the real world, and cannot ignore the money side completely; but am I the only person to be appalled by this? Does tradition count for nothing any more?
